One Week to Go

And just like that, it’s upon us.

In just over one week, I will be taking the stage at The Cavern in Liverpool, to play the first show of my UK tour. 

It feels like a long time coming. But time also flies when you’re doing travel logistics, or mailing press, or booking hotel rooms. Organising the tour has been all-encompassing. In many ways, I can’t wait for it to be over, before it’s even begun.

The Fun Part. I’ve been practising all last week with my amazing band. They are all incredible musicians. The songs sound huge. I am so proud.

The Scary Part. Without a last-minute rush on tickets, or better-than-expected merch sales, I look set to make a loss. Just how big, we’ll find out.

The Hopeful Part. Organising this tour has been one of the most challenging things I’ve done in a long time. It has turned my daily routine upside down, made me react to new challenges, and taught me so much. I know I am a better person for it.

To keep my head in the game, I’ll be taking a break from the newsletter for a couple of weeks.
